Documentary Collections (Exports)

A simple and cost-effective means of trading
Documentary Collections (Exports)
Documentary collections for Documents against Payment (DP) and Documents against Acceptance (DA) are ways to minimise the risk of non-payment without the use of a Documentary Credit. Under DP terms, documents are released against the buyer's payment of the bill, while under DA terms, documents are released against the buyer's promise to pay at a later date.

Protect your business by checking on the buyer's creditworthiness and reputation before agreeing to a documentary collection, especially under DA terms. After shipping your goods, present the documents to HSBC together with your instructions for payment so we can instruct the buyer’s bank to deliver your documents accordingly.
