Useful tips for Personal Indentification Number (PIN) security

  • Keep your PIN secret. Memorise it and do not write it down.
  • Remember, NO ONE at HSBC will ever ask you for your PIN.
  • Do not use your identity card number, telephone number, date of birth, driving licence number or commonly used number sequence (e.g. 8888 or 1234) when choosing your PIN.
