With dcDirect from HSBC, you can meet these urgent deadlines for DC issuance without having to first establish import facilities with us.

To use dcDirect, all you need to do is to first open a current account with us and after you have confirmed a purchase with your supplier, simply deposit the equivalent amount of the purchase into your account. We will then transfer these funds to a marginal deposit to enable us to issue the DC.

We will issue a DC to your supplier within 48 hours from the submission of your completed DC application provided your marginal deposit is in place*. Once we have received the import documents under the DC, we will settle your import obligation by using your marginal deposit with us. Moreover, with dcDirect, you only pay for the DC charges as and when you need us to issue a DC.

*All banking facilities are subject to our usual credit assessment and applicable terms and conditions.

With the financial strength and global recognition of HSBC, DCs issued by us will be universally accepted, both by your suppliers and their bank(s), as payment assurance.

You may also choose to insure your goods en route from your supplier if your trade terms do not include insurance coverage. Marine cargo insurance from HSBC provides you with that protection.
