S$1 Treats Promotion (“S$1 Treats”) terms and conditions:

• S$1 Treats is valid from 1 November to 31 December 2009 (“Period”).

• All HSBC credit cards issued by The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (“HSBC”) in Singapore are eligible to participate in the S$1 Treats, except for HSBC MasterCard Electronic debit cards, HSBC USD and Corporate credit cards.

• Cardholders are limited to make an SMS redemption of S$1 Treats item per day with a minimum spend of S$100 (“Transaction”) during the Period in a single charge slip. SMS redemption will have to be made on the day of the Transaction or the next day.

• Only Transaction made in Singapore currency accompanied with an original charge slip issued during the Period is valid for the S$1 Treats redemption, excluding foreign currency transactions, online transactions, recurring payments, cash advances, fund transfers, financial charges, late charges, fees, tax payment and outstanding balances.

• To redeem for their choice of S$1 Treats item, cardholders have to SMS in the following format to 7HSBC (74722): HSBC<space>Item code<space>16-digit credit card number. A reply SMS with a unique 6-digit SMS code and its validity period will shortly be issued to cardholders.

• Cardholders must use the issued unique SMS code within the stipulated validity period as stated in the reply SMS.

• To redeem for the S$1 Treats items, cardholders are to present only the original charge slip together with their HSBC credit card and the unique SMS code to merchant. For each S$1 Treats item redeemed, S$1 will only be charged to only their eligible HSBC credit cards, excluding The Choice Card.

• SMSes are not transferable to other cardholders.

• There will be no replacement SMS sent for any deleted reply SMS to the Cardholder.

• Sending and receiving of SMSes are telco-dependent. HSBC will not accept any responsibility for non-receipt or delay of the reply SMS.

• The last day of SMS redemption will be 1 January 2010, using a charge slip dated 31 December 2009.

• SMS redemption will not be available on Christmas Eve (24 December 2009) and New Year’s Eve (31 December 2009). For transactions made on these two dates, SMS redemption will only be valid on 25 December 2009 and 1 January 2010 respectively.

• In the event of that the minimum spend per redemption made is not fulfilled or there are multiple redemptions made using the same unique SMS code, HSBC will impose a penalty of S$50 to the cardholder’s account for every redemption made.

• All S$1 Treats redemption items are valid while stocks last at merchant outlets.

• Pizza Hut’s S$1 Treats items include Personal Pan Pizza Family Favourites Range (valid for both dine-in and take-away) and Pasta Perfetto Classic Range (valid for dine-in only).

• Sakae Sushi’s S$1 Treats items include Teriyaki Chicken Ramen or Donburi (valid for dine-in only). Not valid for redemption on 24 and 25 December 2009.

• The Centrepoint, Compass Point, Anchorpoint and Causeway Point vouchers (also referred to as Frasers Centrepoint Malls Shopping voucher) is accepted for use at all Frasers Centrepoint Malls. Redemption of vouchers is valid at the respectives mall's customer service counter, 12 noon to 8pm.

General terms and conditions:

• HSBC accepts no liability for the goods and services provided by the merchants involved in the S$1 Treats and Promotion.

• HSBC and participating merchants reserves the right to change any of the terms and conditions without prior notice.

• In case of any dispute, the decisions of HSBC on all matters relating to the S$1 Treats and Promotion are final, conclusive and binding. No correspondence will be entertained.
