Terms and Conditions Governing HSBC Platinum Credit Card Acquisition Programme 2009/2010

1. To participate in this promotion, all card applications must reach us by 30 June 2010 and approved by 15 July 2010.
2. Customers are only eligible for the cash rebates each month under the following conditions:
   

   Month in which Card was issued/ Qualifying month	Conditions	Cash rebate amount

   Third	Minimum three transactions in the month	S$10

3. Only transactions (including internet purchases) made with your newly approved HSBC Platinum credit card are eligible for this promotion. Transactions made on The Choice Card and supplementary card(s) linked to the HSBC Platinum credit card are not eligible.
4. Fund transfers, instalments, tax payments, annual fees, bank charges and unposted, cancelled, disputed and refunded transactions will not qualify and are expressly excluded.
5. Cash rebates will be credited to your HSBC Platinum credit card account within a month after the end of the qualifying month.
6. Cash rebates under this promotion are not transferable.
7. Terms and conditions for second year annual fee waiver apply.
8. Only HSBC Platinum credit card accounts that are maintained in good standing and conducted in a proper and satisfactory manner as determined by HSBC in its sole discretion over the entire 4-months qualifying period and at the time of fulfillment will be eligible for cash rebates.
9. HSBC reserves the right to at any time (without assigning any reason whatsoever) to debit the cardholder's HSBC Platinum credit card account for any cash rebates amount credited to such credit card account in the event HSBC determines in its sole discretion that any of the terms and conditions of this promotion has not been complied with.
10. Usage of the welcome vouchers is subject to merchants’ terms and conditions and HSBC accepts no liability for the quality of goods and services provided by the participating merchants involved in this promotion.
11. The decision of HSBC on all matters relating to the promotion is final, conclusive and binding and no correspondence will be entertained.
12. HSBC reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions, and to suspend or withdraw any of the cash rebates without prior notice at any time.

Two-year annual fee waiver

1. Annual fee is waived for the first year from the date the HSBC Platinum credit card is issued . To qualify for the second year annual fee waiver, a minimum of three transactions per month must be charged to your HSBC Platinum credit card between the second and fourth month of the card issued . Transactions made on The Choice Card and supplementary card(s) linked to the HSBC Platinum credit card are not eligible.
2. To qualify for the subsequent annual fee waiver, a minimum annual spending of S$12,500 must be made on the HSBC Platinum credit card account.
3. Fund transfers, instalments, tax payments, annual fees, bank charges and unposted, cancelled, disputed and refunded transactions are expressly excluded.
