HSBC Premier referral programme general terms and conditions

1. The HSBC Premier Referral Programme Promotion is open to existing HSBC customers ("the referrer") who successfully refer a new customer ("referee") to start an HSBC Premier relationship in Singapore between 31 October 2010 and 31 January 2011 ("Promotional Period"), both dates inclusive.
2. To qualify for HSBC Premier, a total relationship balance ("TRB") of at least S$200,000 or equivalent in deposits, investments and/ or insurance with HSBC is required.
3. Under this promotion, for the referral to be considered successful, the referee must start the HSBC Premier relationship in Singapore during the Promotional Period and maintain the required TRB of S$200,000 or equivalent by 28 February 2011.
4. Referrers will receive S$300 worth of shopping vouchers or 50,000 HSBC credit cards Rewards points for each successful HSBC Premier referral.
5. Multiple referees who sign up for HSBC Premier in a joint relationship will only be considered as one successful referral.
6. This offer is not valid in conjunction with other promotional offers.
7. All referees who start an HSBC Premier relationship via this programme must maintain their HSBC Premier relationship for at least twelve months from the month of sign-up.
8. The referee referred under this programme must not have an individual and/or joint existing HSBC Premier banking relationship presently or one during the past twelve months. HSBC Premier customers who close and re-open an individual/joint HSBC Premier account during the past twelve months will not be eligible to participate in this programme.
9. The date of referral must not be later than the date of account opening.
10. There is no limit to the number of new customers that can be referred by an eligible customer during the Promotional Period.
11. Customers cannot refer themselves to receive the shopping vouchers or the Rewards points.
12. If two or more eligible customers refer the same customer who starts an HSBC Premier relationship during the Promotional Period, only the first eligible customer who sent in the referral form will be entitled to receive the promotional gifts.
13. This promotion is also applicable to existing HSBC Premier individual customers who open and maintain new HSBC Premier joint accounts with a minimum Total Relationship Balance of S$200,000 or equivalent in deposits, investments and/or insurance through fresh funds only, using non-HSBC cheque(s) and/or cashier's order(s). Transfers from existing HSBC Bank deposit accounts or via HSBC cheques, cashier's orders or demand drafts are not permitted.
14. Staff of the bank will not be eligible to participate in the programme as a referrer or referee.
15. The referrer specifically declares that consent has been obtained from the referee to disclose his/her contact details to HSBC and HSBC may contact the referee to offer banking services and products.
16. HSBC is not a supplier of the shopping vouchers, offered under the programme and will not accept any liability in relation thereto. The shopping vouchers issued are not redeemable for cash. The use of the vouchers will be subject to terms and conditions stated in the vouchers.
17. HSBC reserves the right to make any changes to the promotion or replace any of the promotional gifts with another item of similar value without any prior notice.
18. HSBC reserves the right to deduct the value of the vouchers or Rewards points credited for each referral from the referrer's account in the event the referee terminates his/her HSBC Premier relationship within twelve months from the date the account is opened.
19. HSBC reserves the right to vary the terms of or withdraw the programme at any time without prior notice. In case of any dispute with the customer, the decision of HSBC shall be final.
