  With HSBC Visa Debit Cards, you can now make online purchases securely with the added protection of Verified by Visa - a secure password system for purchases made on the Internet. With Visa's One-Time-Password verification, a personal password will be sent to your mobile phone⁺ (registered with HSBC) during online transactions to confirm your identity, so you can make online transactions securely. Please note that the online transaction will be declined if the online merchant does not provide full transactional details for HSBC's verification.

NEW! Starting 30 July 2012, in order to use your ATM, Debit or Credit Card overseas for cash withdrawals, cash advances or balance enquiries at an ATM outside Singapore, you will need to enrol in advance via Phone Banking service. Click here to find out more.

An SMS alert will be sent to you each time a transaction performed by your HSBC Debit card, bearing an amount greater than the alert threshold amount maintained with the bank, is approved. This SMS transaction alert service is provided free for your banking convenience and security.

What's more, you can get QuickCash at more than 230 Cold Storage Group of stores in Singapore, such as Cold Storage, Giant, Jasons, Marketplace and Guardian outlets with the debit card. QuickCash is a feature that allows you to make cash withdrawals+ on your debit card, accompanied by a Visa Payment purchase of any amount.

Please note that QuickCash at Cold Storage group will be discontinued for MasterCard electronic card on 30 April 2011. QuickCash at Cold Storage group will still be available with the new Visa Debit card.
