More than S$1 million 1.00% p.a.
Minimum charging balance for HSBC Premier customers is S$50,000.
 
FundMax Advance Account

S$10,000 - less than S$50,000 3.00% p.a.
S$50,000 - less than S$200,000 2.75% p.a.
More than S$200,000 2.50% p.a.
Minimum charging balance for HSBC Advance customers is S$10,000.

  Example:
Mr Chan, an HSBC Premier customer, maintains a FundMax account with fund holdings during April 2011. The monthly account fee for April 2011 is calculated as follows:
Charging Period 1 – 30 April 2011
(30 days; 365 days in the full year)

S$600,000 x 1.5% x 30/365 = S$739.73
Details of the account fee collected
will be provided in the monthly account statement.
  The account fee will be collected from the designated cash account on the last business day of the month.

Other service charges

Other service charges that may apply

Service Rate
Minimum charging balance Minimum balance to be used for monthly account fee calculation when the actual average balance falls below the threshold of S$50,000 for HSBC Premier customers and S$10,000 for HSBC Advance customers.
Administration fee for account closure Upon closure, any accrued monthly account fee not yet charged will be collected from the designated cash account. If the date of the FundMax account closure is less than one year from the date of account opening, an administrative fee of S$120 (plus prevailing GST) will be collected from your designated cash account.
Transfer fee For transfer-out of funds from the FundMax account, 1% of the prevailing market value of the funds which are subject to the transfer is chargeable.

 

Other points to note:

  • Monthly account fee will be debited on the last business day of the month from the cash account you specified.
  • Unit trust is a medium to long-term investment. The value of investments and units may go down and up, and the investor may not get back the original sum invested. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future performance. Investors and potential investors should read the relevant prospectus, available at HSBC branches, before investing.
