Phishing involves an e-mail message, sent by a fraudster, claiming to come from a legitimate organisation such as a bank, online payment service or online retailer. The e-mail requests the recipient to update or verify personal and financial information, including log-in details such as the username, password and security code.

What should you do?
Ignore the e-mail and DO NOT visit the website. No e-mail from HSBC will contain a hyperlink to our Internet Banking log on page or will solicit personal or financial information.
