HSBC ATM Security

We constantly ensure that all our banking channels are secure to give you peace of mind when you bank with us.

As part of our ongoing efforts to reinforce ATM security, we have installed the Fraudulent Device Inhibitor (FDI) to prevent skimming devices from being placed over the ATM card slot.

This enhancement will be carried out in phases and will be completed by early 2007.

Some safety precautions to keep in mind while conducting an ATM transaction :

1. Memorise your PIN and keep it confidential at all times
2. Shield your PIN while using an ATM
3. Change your PIN regularly
4. If you suspect your PIN has been exposed to others, change it immediately
5. Beware of foreign objects attached on an ATM
6. Report any loss of ATM/Debit card immediately. Call 1800-HSBC NOW (4722 669).
