Beware of scams. Never share your security details, including the one-time passwords (OTPs) with anyone or any webpage from emails or SMSes. Scammers may try to obtain OTPs on the pretext of a transaction such as courier charges for a parcel to be delivered.

Please be mindful if any payment is due to the following:

  • an alleged offence overseas
  • facilitating a courier delivery
  • helping someone you've only recently known
  • an investment promising high returns from an unverified source
  • an unknown recipient with no direct contact established

These have been known to be common reasons scammers use to obtain payments from victims.

If you’ve already shared your security details or are about to make a payment due to the above reasons, please contact us immediately at 1800-HSBC NOW (4722 669) in Singapore or (65) 6-HSBC NOW (4722 669) from overseas.
